Rene Orth, composer, and Orchestra 2001 percussionist Alyssa Resh sampled the sounds of different surfaces on the pier, including the iron track end in the Pier's garden.  They made some interesting discoveries, and this research will inform the piece that Rene composes for Orchestra 2001.
